Michael Donahue
Dr. Michael Donahue is a retired United States Air Force officer serving 20 years in the operational fields of cyber, information warfare, and international affairs. His industry background includes multiple cyberspace positions supporting Operation INHERENT RESOLVE, the military intervention against the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria. Michael is has worked directly with the Secret Service, FBI, and Homeland Security on multiple counterterrorism efforts in the field of cybersecurity. Military assignments include Turkey, Guam, Russia, South Korea, Haiti, and two combat tours in Iraq. Michael successfully defended his dissertation at the University of South Florida and graduate in December 2019. His dissertation focused on creating a research design framework to help special operations practitioners apply Action Research towards organizational problem-solving. Michael also holds a master’s degree from Troy University and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and teaches cyberwarfare and policy for Joint Special Operations University, United States Special Operations Command, in Tampa, Florida.
